8 Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. (1 Corinthians 13:8 CSB)
While everything else in this world will come to an end, love extends forever.
This, of course, refers to God’s love for us, but think of the one thing that you remember about others. I will wager that those things we remember with fondness begins with love.
Furthermore, consider the fact that love covers a multitude of sins. The scriptures all point toward two things; love is a cure for many things in our lives and God is love.
When we think of all that will fade away, the one thing that will hold true will be the love we gave and the love we received.
Thus, if we too focus more upon love, which we all can agree is most adventageous, we foster God’s love in all things. And this good will never end.
I have come to realize that a quiet, patient love with others soothes most situations. It soothes my worried mind and helps me to focus more upon others than myself. It is a balm for the soul and the mind. It creates space for God to work within me and within others where He can work wonders.
