Fallow Ground

Sow righteousness for yourselves,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
and break up your fallow ground;
for it is time to seek the Lord,
until he comes
and showers his righteousness on you. (Hosea 10:12 NIV)

There are times when we need to break up our fallow, or unplowed, ground. Times when we have let seasons go by and the ground of our lives, of who we are, becomes hardened and no longer fertile.

To break up this ground, we prepare ourselves for planting so that we can reap a new harvest. Allow new things to grow into our lives.

Does your fallow ground need breaking up?
