31 “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32 NIV)
Note that while Christ said he had prayed for Simon, he also said “when you have turned back.” He, of course, that Simon would fail he would be weak and fail.
Failure need not be the end of the story, but can be a turning point. I do not advocate weakness, but I do advocate turning so that we may strengthen others.
The measure of a man is not how many times he falls, but how many times he gets back up.
