In My Eyes

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:7-8 NIV)

The link between our mental state and how we feel is well documented. This extends to how we see (perceive) ourselves in our eyes and others. If we do not employ a modicum of humility about ourselves we can have an unhealthy perception of who we truly are.

This can extend into from our mental pictures to our physical health. This can stem from both an exaggerated negative or overly positive standpoint. Yes, negativity tends to impact more people, but seeing ourselves too highly can be just as destructive. Additionally, this can have a greater impact beyond us to those we interact with the most.

Maintain a balanced mental state; Humble in who we are and Healty in how we see ourselves.
