1 The one who lives under the protection of the Most High
dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1 CSB)
We have two choices in life; to dwell on or to dwell in.
When we dwell on something it stays resident in our minds, often pushing out all other thought. We can become consumed with that which we are dwelling on to the point of obsession. Whether what we are dwelling on is good or bad may not matter because either way there seems to be little time for anything else.
Dwelling on is most often marked by uneasiness.
While the act of dwelling in the shadow of the Almighty gives us a sense of peace. When we dwell in we are allowing God to consume our vision and our thoughts. We are making space for the Spirit and allowing the forces of good to overcome the darkness without. When we dwell in the Almighty we are opening the door to His leading and His plan.
Dwelling in is most often marked by peace.
