Meant for More

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation[a] for all people, 12 instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 14 He gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession, eager to do good works. (Titus 2:11-14 CSB)

The key message of the scriptures is contained in these four verses. This is not to say that scripture does not have quite a lot more to impart to us. However, the central message is here.

It is clear and consice so that there is no reason for us to miss the message. Christ brought salvation so that we could turn from the world and live right. We have a hope in this present age that God will return and take us to himself because he gave himself for us. He provided a path not only for salvation but for us to then do good things for others.

And yet we still so often just live for ourselves. Not wanting to disrupt our lives in any way to further the Kingdom. This is not what we were designed for. No. We were meant for so much more.
