Hunger and Thirst

35 “I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in me will ever be thirsty again. (John 6:35 CSB)

Thirst and hunger, two things that remind us we are human every single day.

Jesus did many miracles, some of which included feeding over 5000. But he was speaking not of human hunger or thirst, but of the fact that we need salvation to sustain us as much as these things.

Yes, God can and most often does see to it that we are cared for physically. However, he is far more concerned about our need for spiritual filling.

If He will see to our eternal infinite spirit, then He too will see to the temporal finite bodily needs. Once our spiritual needs are met God sees to our ability to sustain the other.
