3 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)

Do you realize that God loves you just as much as he loves his son Jesus?

That, to me, is staggering.

I had to read this in one of Brennan Manning’s books for it to even start to sink in. But like today’s scripture, He is not only the God that saves (as if that were not enough) he is the God who loves, is glad for us and exults over us.

When, at times, it is hard for us to even love ourselves, God loves us. Unconditionally.

Now, make no mistake, there is one condition for salvation (a belief in Jesus Christ and acceptance of Him), but God loves you unconditionally. In other words that love is there before, during and after you believe.

If that does not blow your mind and humble you, I am not sure what can.
