Broken Things

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’s knees and said, “Go away from me, because I’m a sinful man, Lord!” (Luke 5:8 CSB)

When confronted with the perfection of Christ we can be overcome with just how sinful we are.

Luckily, Christ came for us broken things.

It is in our brokenness that through Christ we are perfected. There is nothing we can do to achieve this, it is only through the grace of Christ and his mercy.

In light of this we can feel even more broken and want nothing more than to hide. However, it is this very moment that Christ is closest to us. This very moment when he seeks to comfort us.

When there are only one set of prints in the sand, rest assured, it is not that Christ is not with us, but that he is carrying us.
