Momentary

We cannot serve multiple masters. Trying to be obedient to differing ways of life which are, in themselves, contradictory.

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? (Romans 6:16 NIV)

The enemy provides a world full of subtle and not so subtle enticements that are meant to lead us away from The Path. And we, like fish to a baited hook, often follow along without a second thought.

When examined in the light of scripture we often find that that which entices us to momentary distraction is not always best for us. The key word here is “momentary”.

Ask yourself, in the light of eternity what are you a slave to?
