Abandoned

4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. (1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV)

When we abandon something we are making a conscious choice to walk away. Whether this is from something or someone leading us away or it is by our on volition. It is a choice we are making.

When we begin to get led away from the Spirit the more time we spend in another pursuit the greater impact it has on our faith. It starts in small ways which give a pathway to more distancing.

Then we begin to feel alone and do not even realize that we have lost sight of that part of our life which we depend upon desperately.
