Hebrews 12:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
12 let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1a-2 NIV)
The race we run each day is a marathon not a sprint. How many times have we heard this, yet we live our lives at sprint pace. We wake up and jump on the world’s treadmill and turn it all the way up.
We face burnout and every other type of fatigue….it is a never ending race.
But what if we just slowed down a little. Took in the world around us and took a moment for others. Would we really get less accomplished or more?
