Lions & Bears

37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.” (1 Samuel 17:37 NIV)

David was setting out to do battle with Goliath. This boy had battled lions and bears in the past while tending a flock. He trusted God and knew God had his back.

We often face major obstacles, great giants, lions and bears (metaphorically) in our lives. Alone this can be a fearful thing. But with God at our back we know that we have the strength to overcome our giants.

We must but have faith and trust.
