Gentleness and Self-Control

Gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:23 NIV)

Isn’t it great that some things do not need laws or mandates. They are just accepted as not needing them.

Being a gentle and self-controlled soul can seem mean and boring to some. However, deep wisdom comes from these traits. Notice how a soft word spoken in a crowd will be listened to when shouting often holds little that is useful.

Fostering greater gentleness toward ourselves and others and a strong sense of self-control proves a great benefit in this life.
